Following the launch of Superclásico Vol. 1, Clasico keeps the pressure up with a new single by New York’s WTCHCRFT.
WTCHCRFT first landed on Clasico with 2023’s Sleepless in Brooklyn EP, a four track exploration of acid techno and beyond tied together by WTCHCRFT’s own vocals. Well, on ‘1 4 U’ he goes one better, bringing his voice right to the forefront. That lead track’s been stuck in our heads since the first demo, and it won’t leave yours any time either.
In WTCHCRFT’s words, “These two tracks are me doubling down on the use of my vocals in my music, playing around with some more traditional pop / hip-hop song structures, as well as having a bit more melody than I normally do in my tracks. The lyrical content is more or less the same in both tracks, '1 4 U' is dedicated to my girlfriend."
Regularly touring across the world, WTCHCRFT has been heavily supported by Marie Davidson, VTSS, Paula Temple, Ellen Allien and the rest of the techno elite - with some of his most exciting tours in the pipeline for this year. ’1 4 U’ is Clasico’s second release of 2024, following the first edition of the label’s new Superclásico compilation series, a globe-trotting 16-tracker showcasing club music’s most exciting talent.

Neat two-tracker from Martyn Bootyspoon on Local Action. Raw drums & heavy bass leads the sound on «Doors at 11», while «Song That Starts With Chorus» fuses lovely synthlines with a fat 909-bassline. Svebbe
The acclaimed Melbourne producer delivers two club-focused tracks that bridge the gap between electro and bass music. Bandcamp New & Notable Jun 3, 2020
Clobbering, nearly industrial bass music with beats as big as the smoldering sun surrounded by charred electronics. Bandcamp New & Notable Feb 23, 2024
Stunning melodies on the title track, pure and minimalistic Baltimore club on «QUESO N BONES» and «BELLY UP», before Baltimore meets tribal groove on «C240». Svebbe
